Company History
A & G Manufacturing Co., Inc. was
founded by Arvin Shifley & Glen Shifley Sr. in 1971. We are still a family
owned company today. We started out as a Job Shop facility with machining,
welding, fabricating, and finish painting. In 1975 we built our first
building which has had 5 expansions and is now called Plant 2. In 1990 we
purchased what is now called Plant 3 with the Cleland Manufacturing product
of Stake bed and Flat bed Truck Bodies. In 1993 we purchased what is now
called Plant 1. In 1996 we purchased the Pettibone Mercury Tow Tractor line
after fabricating and assembling the units for them for several years.
Plant 1 is situated on 4
acres with 33,000 sq. ft.. It currently houses the Main Office, Mercury
Sales office, Machine Shop, and A&G Mercury Parts warehouse.

Plant 2 was the first
plant for A&G Mfg. Co. Inc.. The original building was built in 1975.
Since then it has had 5 expansions. Plant 2 is situated on 11 acres with
54,000 sq. ft of manufacturing space. It is currently Heavy Fabrication,
Assembly of Tow Tractors, Abrasive Blasting, Wet Coat and Powder Coating.

Plant 3 is situated on
3.7 acres with 22,800 sq. ft. of manufacturing space. Plant 3 was purchased
in 1990 and was formally known as Cleland Manufacturing. Their main product
was flat bed and stake beds for utility trucks. Although Plant 3 still
manufactures truck beds they have expanded to their production to include
trailers and cabs for A&G Mercury as well as light fabrication job shop
work.
